I am looking for people to submit their NYTG testimonies, for example one of mine is "I go rock climbing before my raid on Tuesday nights" basically anything that you do that makes you "not your typical geek"
My plan is to make "NYTG" moments as popular as MLIA or FML it may be an optimistic goal but if you never aim high you never hit your potential.
Email me your NYTG moments/testimonies at

My mission
As the blog title suggests I'm not your typical geek and my mission with this blog is not only to prove people like me exist but to hopefully find others that are like me as well.
When most people think of a "geek" they think of some pale kid that never leaves the house and has little to no social skills or athletic ability and I would like to say that stereotype, while it does apply to allot of geeks and gamers, is not always true. I am proud to say I am a geek but I'm not in any way part of that stereotype. I play wow and have 2 level 85s but at the same time I rock climb at least once a week every week, I play air soft and paintball, I snowboard, and I love archery and that's just a few of my interests.
Hopefully I will be able to keep up with this blog and maybe start adding videos because show beats tell. On that note if anyone would like to come forward and submit their testimony or videos keeping with the theme of breaking the stereotype of the "typical geek" I will gladly incorporate it in future blog posts.
